Funny thing 2 do

Okay, here is something funny to do...

Go to google.

In the search line, type in "Find Chuck Norris."

Don't hit search, instead hit "I'm feeling lucky".

When you get the return that looks like an error, don't close it; read it.

A Very Sad Day

Zach and I just got home from camp yesterday to find out that while we were up in the mountains, Christian Rock Legend Larry Norman passed away. Larry's music was inspirational to me when I first became a Christian and I still listen to it even now. I think back to running around in Losey's 68 Camaro with Shamp and Lackey while blasting "In Another Land" and "Just Visiting This Planet." on the 8-track. As a matter of fact, this Blog is in part named after a Larry Norman song. "I am not of this planet... I'M JUST PASSIN THROUGH." Larry will be missed.
Here is what Larry had to say before on Saturday.
I feel like a prize in a box of cracker jacks with God's hand reaching down to pick me up. I have been under medical care for months. My wounds are getting bigger. I have trouble breathing. I am ready to fly home.
My brother Charles is right, I won't be here much longer. I can't do anything about it. My heart is too weak. I want to say goodbye to everyone. In the past you have generously supported me with prayer and finance and we will probably still need financial help.
My plan is to be buried in a simple pine box with some flowers inside. But still it will be costly because of funeral arrangement, transportation to the gravesite, entombment, coordination, legal papers etc. However money is not really what I need, I want to say I love you.
I'd like to push back the darkness with my bravest effort. There will be a funeral posted here on the website, in case some of you want to attend. We are not sure of the date when I will die. Goodbye, farewell, we will meet again.
Goodbye, farewell, we'll meet againSomewhere beyond the sky.I pray that you will stay with GodGoodbye, my friends, goodbye.
Larry

Okay, Happy Valentine's Day for real

Yeah, that last post was a joke. Here is another really cool picture of when Lisa and I were young. It was lots of fun back then and it is even more fun now.

Happy Valentines Day

I was going through some old pictures for Lisa. I found this. I am sure you will agree, it is really cool and manly. Happy Valentine's Day.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today marks the 20 year anniversary of Mr. Weave and my engagement. Here is a very old picture of Mr. Weave and me with our friends at the beach. I think we were married about 6 years when this picture was taken. Every Valentine's Day for the last 20 years has gotten better and better.

Sunday night fun

What a fun night. The youngest wanted ribs for her birthday. Here I am employing the blast furnace method to get the smoker up to the correct temperature.

While I was working on rib perfection, the oldest and his buddy were doing death defying feats in the road.
Such fun for a Sunday afternoon.

This Face Thing Everyone is doing

So according to this, I look like three tough guys, a black dude and Farrah. Well, at least it's Farrah and not Ashley Olsen like that girly man Pat Callahan.

Here is Mrs. Weave. She only looks like chicks and yes, they are all screaming hot!

G.I. Joe

A buddy of mine sent me this. We worked together back in college but really just stay in touch through e-mail now. Kind of a virtual friend I guess. The title of the e-mail was "What dad's do with their old action figures". Happy Friday and happy 3 day weekend. A squirrel was most certainly harmed in the creation of this picture.

Old Pictures

So I was cleaning up a bit... No, not like a closet or anything; I was purging my collection of hard drives to make room for more upcoming video projects. I came across this old picture. This is me, The Lose, and Thurman8er at a halloween party many years ago (I still had brown hair). We were dressed as three forms of Carl the groundkeeper from Caddyshack. It made me laugh.

Gotta love the snow

Last week I left school after lunch to go run some errands for Mrs. Weave.

Okay, this is off topic but worth the diversion. She had me go to the Marjory Mason center to pick up some literature for the class she is taking. When I saw where it was located, I decided it would be better if I went. That turned out to be a very good call as the neighborhood is really scary. If you follow google maps you get taken through a neighborhood when you get off the freeway. Da Hood is just South of Dickey's playground. I have always known that Dickey's is a super dangerous place but on this day I learned that da hood behind Dickey's is past scary. As I drove through, I noticed that most of the residents were sitting on their front porches. This in itself may not see out of the ordinary but the strange part was that most of the people were reclining on indoor furniture. A few dudes had lazy boys, some others had full on couches. When I drove by, most of them got up off the couch and started yelling at me to come back. I can only assume they mistook me for one of their customers. I guess it is a good thing that I went instead of Mrs. Weave.

Okay, back to my post. So I was driving back to school and I got a look at the mountains. (In case you are not from Fresno, we live about 30 miles from the Sierra Nevada mountains but usually do not get to see them because of clouds or smog.) The coolest part about this day was that the foothills were covered with snow. It is kind of small but check it out.
Sorry this looks like it was taken with a cell phone. It was.
