Right now I am finishing up a couple of videos. This makes me happy because for the first time in months, I have nothing on a tape or hard drive that has a due date looming over my head. I do have a shoot coming up next weekend that I am excited about doing but as soon as I finish these two projects, I am clear for the week. So I am to the part of editing video that is easy but time consuming... the render. When a video is done, you have to render it out to some type of usable format. (DVD, AVI, whatever) Even with a fast computer, this takes time. So while I was rendering something, I was looking at all of my pals blogs and I found this video on one of Jesse's friends list. http://juuleeya.blogspot.com/ I love music and I love those funny Internet videos that everyone sends around. This has both and I thought you would enjoy it too.
This weekend I took the boy with me and we went down to Ventura to play with my club in a Master's Water Polo tournament. It was a really fun tournament. My friends Rick and Bryan both took their sons as well. We had two games on Saturday and played very well. We beat two other 40+ year old teams and then faced some younger guys on Sunday. We actually did pretty well against the 20 year old's losing each game by 2 goals. Saturday night was the best. All of the visiting teams stayed in 8 campsites on the same circle at McGrath State Beach. During the day we killed each other in the pool and that night shared a beer, played some volleyball and got to know the other athletes around the campfire. We even played hide and go seek with our sons. The next morning we held a short church service with some of our team and the Fresno Pacific water polo team. One guy brought a guitar and we sang a few songs, heard a short passage from Psalms then had one of the Pacific students prayed for us. Very cool weekend!
Yesterday the boy and I went on his school field trip to Yosemite. It made for a nice but totally tiring extension to a long weekend. I was already tired from playing water polo all weekend but yesterday did me in. We got to the park and the bus dropped us off at the Wawona hotel for a while. From there we drove to Yosemite Falls and then walked up to Happy Isles. With the hot weather we have been having this past week, the waterfalls and the rivers were really going. After a while there, we walked back to Curry Camp then over to the main store for some shopping. We finished up by walking to the bus near Yosemite Falls. I was very tired by the time we got home and both the boy and I slept great last night.
